A Restaurant Abandoned For 12 Years
Recently, I got out to explore a place I’ve been wanting to explore for nearly 10 years now - the abandoned Mr. C’s Restaurant in Austinburg, Ohio.
Mr. C’s Family Restaurant and Ice Cream Station once stood as a familiar stop along State Route 45 in Austinburg, Ohio. Established in 1970, it operated for over four decades before closing around 2013.
The restaurant was known for its diverse menu, offering pancakes, steaks, seafood, and chicken. Adjacent to the main dining area was the Ice Cream Station, which featured a Silver Dollar Arcade. The signage, with its bold fonts and retro design, became a recognizable landmark for travelers through the area.
Despite its popularity, Mr. C's eventually closed its doors, and the building now stands abandoned.
